The Canopy Walk in Claveria, Misamis Oriental guarantees tourists unmatched thrill and excitement.
The only landlocked municipality of Misamis Oriental Province in Mindanao, Claveria is a place that offers a unique, fascinating, and satisfying experience.
Claveria is the largest among the 24 towns of Misamis Oriental. It is bounded by the series of coastal towns from Villanueva to Gingoog City to the north, northwest, and west, Bukidnon Province to the south, and Agusan del Norte to the east.
The municipality of Claveria is mainly an agricultural area. Its income basically comes from crop production, freshwater products, and livestock or poultry output. Crop production includes vegetables, corn, root crops, coffee, and rice. The freshwater products include Anga, Pigok, Haloan, Bunak, Damagan, Subok, Dalapakan, and Kasili. Livestock comprises swine, cattle, and poultry products.

This 60 feet high canopy walk in the middle of a forest simply is an adventure like no other!
Claveria is an ideal location for tourism development as it is endowed with fascinating places. It possesses a rich forest which is about 20 kilometers from the main district.
A favorite attraction of the town is the Canopy walk located beside the soaring Mount Sumagaya. Stretching 10 meters, the Canopy walk is a hanging bridge which is 60 feet high. It provides breathtaking views of the area’s virgin forest as well as its wildlife. This fascinating spot is guaranteed to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The tourists can also opt for river trekking and mountain climbing within the vicinity. Another highlight of the area are the decks installed on top of trees where visitors can listen to the soothing sound of nature.

However, despite the highly promising stature of Claveria especially when it comes to its tourism potential, it is still an underdeveloped town seeking investors. For this reason, potentially marketable spots such as Gumaod Lake, Mat-i Hilltop Lake, and Malagana Bugwak Spring remain still – and waiting.
