Boracay Beach, Party and Beautful People
Is Boracay perfect paradise? It was August 2008 and I was in the Philippines for 4 months, I needed a holiday, I kept on asking my Filipino friends where I should go ?, Boracay kept on coming up in conversations, I could definetly see why this is both the honeymoon and youth beach party capital of the Philippines.
Idylic tropical seas await you, and only 200 miles south of Manila, which is approvimately 300 km, located on a small island int he Western Visayas, (its around 15 minutes by boat to Panay island where Caticlan airport is located.
Boracay 2 main beaches
- White Beach is the most active strip of beach, it is where the main activity is, restuarants, discos and shopping activity. and is the primary beach in Boracay
- Bulabog Beach is what i would term a more sports enthusiasts area , great for Wind surfing and Kite surfing.
Where to stay Boracay?
The main beach White beach is divided up into 3 stations now this is what I found, I think this will help you make your decision much easier where to stay! Please read bellow before u book your accommodation in Borocay. Station 1 Borocay Most expensive, for people on Honeymoon, Station 2: Most active area for food and activities, station 3 for the budget traveller.
The best shopping on the Island is found near Station 2 in a place called D Mall, in this area you can book flights, find many ATMs and there is even an Italian food store, there is a lot of souvenier shops in this area. Boracay Station 1: High end, more quiet area, tide comes in afternoon on beach.
Boracay Station 2: Most activity, In the centre of the action, modaretly priced. I think nicest part of beach
Boracay Station 3: Budget backpacker area, nice have not stayed there though.
