6 Reasons to visit Boracay

Paradise is the word that often describes Boracay. It is indeed a beautiful place and I could go on and on ad nauseum and it would just be like echoing what others already said. People know it’s beautiful…. But what else? Here below are specifically what you can expect in Boracay.

1)    The Sand- As you may already know, the beach is divided into 3 stations. The markings indicating what station you are in are difficult to find but there are other ways of identifying your location. Station 1 has the finest white sand on earth. It is powdery smooth. You can probably get hurt more if you jumped from a tree into the water than on the sand. Station 3 has the coarsest sand of the three but you’re not there to swim anyway.
2)    Water Sports- If you’re the more adventurous type, there are a lot of other things that you can do rather than lie on the velvet beach. You can go on a jetski and zigzag your way over other people’s heads. There are banana boats for the children as well skimming, a form of surfing, right where the beach meets the waves.
3)    Scuba diving and Snorkling- While the beach takes predominance when people think of Boracay, there are other sots as well that are equally incredible. There are several scuba diving spots around the island each with a different kind of scenery below. For those who do not know how to scuba dive, they can choose instead to go snorkeling and see beautiful sea spectacles as well.
4)    The Food- Boracay cuisine are especially delicious especially since they are the fresh from the sea. In a lot of restaurants big and small, you will find a variety of dishes that are so good that you might not want to stop eating. Choice favorites are buttered prawns and crabs. In some restaurants, lobsters, are also available. You can even have a choice of how your food is made. You can have tempura and paella at the same time!
5)    The Events- Boracay has become a hot spot for a lot of special events. At any given weekend, there could be a concert in one area and a dance party a few meters away from it. There are athletic competitions as well such as beach volleyball and triathlons that sometimes take place.
6)    The People- It seems that all the beautiful people in the world gather in Boracay all the time. Everywhere you look, there’s a head turner just sitting there basking in the sun. The energy of the people are also palpable. Just like you, they are excited to be in Boracay, to be in paradise.
