Remember when there was a time when you would go on a boat trip in a beach, hopping form one island to another? If you are the type that enjoys going to and fro and seeing sites of what you have never seen, this place would be your ultimate island hopping trip. And what better destination would give you the most of island choices rather than… the Hundred Islands?

Another amazing National Park of the Philippines would be the Hundred Islands. This place is located in Lucap, Alaminos City, Pangasinan, 250 kilometers from Manila. The land is 1,884 hectares wide containing 123 islands. Three islands were specially made for tourist attraction and is named, Governor, Quezon and Children’s Island.

The guesthouse in the Governor is ideal for occupancies such as families or big groups. It has a living room, a dining area, 2 bedrooms, a comfort room/bath and a kitchen. Linens are available with 4 drums of water, a generator for lighting, fans on the ceiling and cooking peripherals are also provided as well as utensils.

If you’re more of a budget traveler or just a couple not needing a huge space, the Children’s Island would be very much to your expectation, while the Quezon Island is more for adventurous campers and picnickers.

Once you’ve landed your luggage it would be time to spread your arms in delight welcoming the rustic feel of islands scattered like green emeralds across the deep bluish sees of Pangasinan.

To Avoid being crowded take a cab on your way to Ecoland Bus Terminal and find Digos bound bus. As you reach Digos, ask for directions regarding how to get to Kapatagan Terminal. In the Kapatagan Terminal you would have the option to either ride a van or dare yourself to ride a motorcycle or be more adventurous would be horseback riding and the all famous passenger jeeps. Barangay Officials could always give tips and guides to going places there. There are also 4×4 vehicles to get you to Mainit or if you feel the need to hike and be an enthusiast, you would need to start hiking fom Marawer.
