Pro or Anti Piracy?

Above: Piracy? Yes or No?
The consumer goes in the mall, looks over some DVDs that cost around 500 pesos and then he thinks and gets caught in between the thought that if he should buy this or should just go out of the mall and buy the same DVD for less than 50 pesos.
Another similar scenario occurs in the same area. A girl looks at a CD of songs that she intends to buy and then she gets caught in between thinking, “should I buy this or just download this from the internet?”.
It has been thought of many times and so much has been done in trying to prohibit it.
But have we actually looked at it in a different perspective?
We have been bombarded by advertisements about anti-piracy and the like; Spending thousands and even millions in pesos for this campaign. The question is, is it paying off?
Is piracy here to stay?
After years and years of progression in technology, do you think that we can really go against the flow of people finding means in wisdom of getting what they want the cheaper way through technology? Therefore, if technology is improving and is here to stay, is piracy here to stay too?
The generation today has been provided with so much that in all of the sudden you’ll figure out really what your money’s worth is. Is it so bad that people are getting more and more aware of their over spending over something?
I am no pro or anti piracy, but I do believe that change is inevitable and people are deemed to keep up. Either way the question lies to the reader if and how we are going to use these means whether you’re and end user, or the manufacturer and producer. The higher the technology seems after some time, the tougher the game actually is. Are you up for it?
