As the world explores ways and means to make source of natural products that will sustain health in the long run and dismiss the chemical technology that the present generations are clinging onto for short time comfort. It seems that people now a days are getting to be more intelligent in deriving with natural solutions. The humble start of this meaningful mission started with a family headed by Paul P. Mamangun Jr, President of Coconut Haven Philippines had started research in 1983. As years passed the researches were compiled that gave more compelling inspiration for Mamangun Jr. as his daughter, Ana Maria Mamangun was awarded in 1991 in elementary as the youngest to be ever awarded the “Most Promising Science Project”.
Starting with the couple of coconuts, the family ventured into business, as it grew and grew, more making them travel from one place to another just to find the perfect coconuts for their product, searching for the perfect ones in tons and trucks of coconuts. They launched their website releasing all information of VCO. In a business man’s perspective this could have been a terrible move, but the Mamangun family have foreseen far more than what an ordinary business man would have seen. They did not only want the business for themselves and they would have made the option, but since they saw a couple of claiming VCO products in the market that had the wrong procedure, they knew they had to step up and claim what they were bound to do…make the Philippines the number one producer of quality Virgin Coconut Oil in the whole world.
They did not only make products from there on, but they worked double time conducting seminars from one place to another, traveling far and wide to spread the proper procedure to people who were interesting in manufacturing VCO. This patriotic act caused the boom of VCO throughout the country and the rest of the world. The brilliance in this act is that they now that there are more demand than there is supply of it and the whole country should take part.
The family had emphasized on ANH-VCO meaning A No Heat-Virgin Coconut Oil as their studies show that the cold process would make the VCO even more healthier as heat vanquishes necessary substance that make up a healthy VCO product. It contains that of the substance called Lauric Acid which is an element that boosts the immune system by as the VCO contains 50% Lauric Acid, making one protect their body from diseases HIV, SARS and Bird Flue.
